Honouring the Bouvet and its commander and crew. The battleship was sunk on March 18, 1915, during the naval attack on the Dardanelles.
The tablet may have been carved specifically for the Mur de souvenir as the tablet is not seen in a photograph of the Bouvet memorial erected post-war on the Asiatic shore.

Monument du Bouvet This tablet within the Mur de Souvenir preserves the inscription from the original memorial, ensuring its commemoration survives within the consolidated French military cemetery at Seddul-Bahr.
